That was in early September, and within an hour we managed to collect more than 3kg of this lovely fruit just from the roadside of an Irish country road.

This is what I collected from our "Little farm" in the back yard at a single day: carrots, beetroots, parsnips, a marrow and a squash. Even if we don't get large quantities, we have a great variety of vegetables. They come in all colours, shapes and tastes, and we make great use of them.

The deep red apples have a really good wax layer, which provides for brilliant storage. These apples can well be kept until Christmas. The quality this year was unbelievable.
